Do you have a a daily routine for a healthy body?  If not, you definitely should.

Routines are made of a series of habits we practice every day. Whether these habits are good or bad, they affect our mood and our general wellbeing. Since our lives turned into a rush hour in the last couple of years, we often forget to include some healthy habits in our daily routine. That’s why so many people are stressed and anxious these days.

So, in order to maintain our health and be happier, we need to change our habits. Unfortunately, we all know this is easier said than done. However, it’s not impossible. We carefully curated the list of wellness tips for a daily routine for a healthy body from morning to night that everybody can do. So, let’s scroll!

The following are tips for a daily routine for a healthy body:

Morning

Getting up in the morning is the hardest part of every day. Nobody wants to leave their cozy and warm bed, right? However, setting up a healthy morning routine is a great way to boost your energy and prepare for the rest of the day.

So, when you wake up, take a deep breath, count from 5 to 1, and then get up. The physical movement is crucial; always remember that! Here are some wellness tips for a healthy routine in the morning:

Start your day with a glass of lemon water

Drinking a glass of lemon water each morning may seem like a highly menial thing to do, but trust us – it can do wonders. This easy habit keeps you hydrated throughout the day, eliminates constipation, and provides you with the minerals and phytochemicals found in lemon juice.

Additionally, lemon juice lowers acidity levels in the body, protecting you against inflammatory disorders, including fungal infections and osteoporosis. So, squeeze half the lemon in your water and start your day healthier and happier!

Exercise is part of a daily routine for a healthy body

We all want to be that person who wakes up all energized and goes for a run around the neighborhood. If you are that person, good for you! If not, don’t despair. Yes, physical activity is important; however, it doesn’t necessarily need to be running. You can do something simpler like a few stretches as soon as you get out of your bed. Yoga is also very welcome. Never underestimate the power of yoga!

The important thing is to never skip this part of the routine. Whether you prefer jogging or indoor cardio, it’s crucial to practice it every morning. This way, you take care of both your body and mind.

Prepare a healthy breakfast

Everybody knows breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Therefore, never skip it! Breakfast is a meal that will energize you for the day ahead of you.

So, when it comes to a healthy breakfast, you’ll want something high in protein and fiber. Additionally, fuel yourself with vitamins and minerals. You can make a smoothie with yogurt, nuts, and berries. A vegetable omelet is also a good idea. If you’re in a hurry, grab a granola bar and a piece of fruit.

Moreover, if you want to go the extra mile, you can always take essential nutrients with your breakfast. This includes vitamin D supplements and omega-3 fish oils

Routine during the day

Speaking about wellness tips for a healthy routine, we must mention the most stressful part of the day – working hours. Because we’re under constant pressure at work, we’re often anxious. Anxiety can be scary, but we can incorporate a few things into our daily routine to preserve our mental health

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

Not many people know this, but dehydration, even mildly, can cause a decrease in mood and focus. That’s why it’s crucial to hydrate as much as possible. Therefore, always keep a bottle of water on you! It’s the simplest yet the most critical part of your healthy routine.

Don’t skip lunch

Eating a good lunch is also one of the healthy habits you should incorporate into your daily routine. Even if you’re having a crazy day at work, you’re allowed a lunch break. Use it to recharge your batteries!

It’s always a good idea to prep a lunch box at home and bring it to your office. You’ll save time, and you’ll be sure you’re eating a healthy meal. So, what can you put in your lunch box? Having fruit like apples or tangerines is always smart. You can also boil some eggs and slice a little bit of feta cheese. Don’t forget your veggies – a tomato salad with a balsamic dressing or carrot and celery sticks will do the job.

If you have a canteen at your workplace, you can always grab a salad and a granola bar for an afternoon snack!

Stay active after work as part of your daily routine

Most of us get into a ‘slump’ once we get back home from work. While this is understandable, it’s not so healthy. So, we recommend another round of exercise.. You can go to the gym if that’s something you prefer. If you like working out at home – do that. Again, this doesn’t have to be a strenuous workout session. Just do whatever will help you let off some steam after the hard day at work.

Night routine

The night routine is as important as the morning one. The way you end your day affects your sleep quality. So, just like you practice a Saturday self-care routine to relax from the busy week, you should use your night routine to unwind from the stressful day.

Eat your dinner

Dinner is the last meal of the day, but just as important! It’s advisable to eat your dinner two hours before your bedtime so you can sleep uninterruptedly throughout the night. So, what makes a healthy dinner?

Green veggies are high in antioxidants, so they are always a wise choice. You should also include a protein, whether it’s plant or animal-based. Additionally, avoid drinking coffee before bed!

Plan the next day and relax

The organization is one of the things that can help us stay sane during the day. Time management is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle-changing routine. So, it’s crucial to be organized during this change as much as possible. Use the time after work to plan everything for the next day, and you’ll feel more safe and content.

Additionally, never go to bed stressed. Even 5 minutes of active deep breathing can help you relax. Also, meditation is a great stress reliever – try it! Some people even have gratitude journals where they write three things that made them happy that day. This is a great way to end the day on a positive note.

Go to bed at a reasonable hour

Your daily routine ends at the same place it begins – in your bed. Only this time you’re staying there for a while. It is said a good night’s sleep should be approximately 7-8 hours. So, in order to get that, go to bed at a reasonable hour. We all know how important sleep is for both our mental and physical health. So, please don’t skimp on it!

You should know one thing – as far as wellness tips for a daily routine for a healthy body go- this is the one you can’t overlook!
